Christmas morning is one of the most magical moments of the entire year. There is so much excitement and anticipation of waking up to a Christmas tree filled with sparkling lights, opening presents, and partaking in all the cherished holiday traditions. And what better way to kick off the holiday morning than an impressive breakfast that gets ready without any hassle?

Whether you are having a low key celebration or entertaining family and friends, this Nutella Puff Pastry Snowflake is the perfect showstopper to the Christmas table.
The light and flaky texture of the puff pastry combined with the rich and chocolatey Nutella makes this insanely delicious! Top it with a sprinkle of confectioner’s sugar and you’re ready to celebrate the Holidays in the most amazing way!
Though it looks way more intimidating to make, you do not need any culinary degree; all you need is a bit of twisting action for the magic to happen. Just leave this in the middle of the table and let everyone serve themselves by tearing and pulling a piece.
Puff Pastry is a staple in our household and I use it for countless recipes. Here are a few of my favorites that you can make for the holiday season: If you made this Nutella Puff Pastry Snowflake, I would love to know how it turned out! Please let me know by leaving a comment below.

Ingredients:
  • 2 frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
  • Confectioners' sugar, for dusting

Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a parchment paper, unroll one puff pastry dough sheet.
  3. Place 10-inch round bowl on top of the dough rectangle and cut around to create a circle, remove the excess dough and set aside.
  4. Repeat the process with the second sheet of pastry, so you’re left with two circles.
  5. Then create a third and final circle using the excess pastry from the first two sheets.
  6. Place one of the circles on the prepared baking sheet. Spread a layer of Nutella evenly all over it ( but not too thick or it’ll ooze out and ruin the design).
  7. Place the second circle over the first one and spread a layer of Nutella again. Then, finally place the third circle on top.
  8. Place a glass or small jar with 2 1/2- to 3-inch opening in center of dough circle stack.
  9. Leaving the center intact, use sharp knife to cut layered dough into quarters. Divide each quarter into 4 equal parts, creating 16 total segments. Remove glass from center of dough.
  10. Take two pieces of dough, side by side, and twist them 3 times in opposite directions from each other. Pinch the ends together, sealing the dough. Repeat all the way around until you have a shape that looks like snowflake.
  11. Brush with egg wash to ensure a nice golden crust. Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden.
  12. Allow it to cool down completely before dusting with Confectioners' sugar. Enjoy!
