Skip to Recipe Lately, as I wake up in the mornings, a string of beautiful memories comes flashing back. The festive season has officially begun in my home country, India. And this brings with itself a hollow realisation of everything that I have left behind- the joy of wearing new clothes, the delicacies made by my Mom and good times spent with friends. Thousands of kilometres away from home, a feeling of pervasive emptiness, and a pang of homesickness engulfs me. Over the years, the joy of going back home to near and dear ones has been replaced by video calls. For me, festivals have now become synonymous with good food. I try to create beautiful recipes at home just to bring in the feeling of festivity. And, how can any Indian festival be complete without some lip smacking desserts? Thai Coconut Chicken Curry

Skip to Recipe It has been raining here for the past few weeks, and we are stuck inside our house. When I see the bright sunlight filtering through the clouds, it brightens up my day and uplifts my mood. On the other hand, waking up to a gloomy sky and wet weather always takes a toll on me. On days, when I am feeling down, whipping up a tasty, comforting meal acts as a relaxing retreat, and soothes my soul. A bowl of hearty, piping curry with steamed rice always melts my heart and brings a big smile on my face. It will be unfair of me if I talk about curry and do not include the recipe for the creamy Coconut Chicken Curry. A one-pan dish of tender chicken simmered in a rich coconut milk sauce, this curry bursts with flavors and comes together in just 30 minutes. Tomato Shrimp Pasta

Skip to Recipe What’s for dinner? This is the most asked question in our household. I must confess that as much as I love cooking, meal planning is something that is always on my dreaded chore list. Whenever I am too exhausted to cook or run out of fresh ideas, I try to stick with simple, reliable recipes that get my job done. I think the possibilities are endless when you have got pasta in the pantry. With a little imagination, you can put together a satisfying main dish by the time the pasta gets cooked. Made with homemade, rich tomato sauce and topped with juicy shrimps, this Tomato Shrimp Pasta is a great way to spice up your weeknight dinner. Cracking open a jar of store-bought sauce and pouring it into the pasta may seem very convenient to us on busy days. But, nothing beats the sauce that is made at home from scratch. It just tastes so much better and is healthier than the store-bought stuff. Roast

Skip to Recipe It has been quite a while that I have started this blog, and I realized the other day that I have not shared a single dessert recipe with you yet. Honestly, we don’t have desserts too often in our house. I do not have a sweet tooth. Whenever there is a decision between sweet and savory, I pick savory every time. But I know, most people live for desserts and can have them even for dinner. Yeah, I know that desserts can seem off-limits if you are dieting or you are trying to make some healthy food choices. You spend those extra hours at the gym and try to eat healthy throughout the day. But then you suddenly see a chocolate commercial and your craving for something sweet hits HARD. Curbing the urge can be difficult to fight, and these cravings can sometimes turn into uncontrollable or emotional eating. Now you do not need to deprive yourself. You can fight your sweet cravings with this

Crispy Fried Chicken Wraps

Skip to Recipe We all have been in that situation when we wake up in the morning to a world that is devoid of beauty and colour. Bogged down by the daily nitty-gritty, life becomes monotonous. We even find ourselves getting bored with the same old food day in and day out. And, I am not an exception to this. Whenever I get stuck in an eating rut, I try digging myself out of the boredom ditch. I try to incorporate one new recipe each week to keep from getting burnt out on the same foods. I love fried chicken; it is my favourite guilty pleasure. Who can resist biting into a piece of well-fried chicken that is crispy outside and soft inside? But, the last time I was about to make them, my conscience got the better of me, and I ended up turning those crusty pieces of fried chicken into a wrap that was more filling and reduced my guilt as well. Stuffed with pieces of chicken, diced tomatoes, and caramelised
